On the slog up from Echo valley to the start of Platteklip ravine
cache is a small tupperware with logbook, a Sasol flower guide, a coaster, bookmark and some incense. We had intended placing it in the Valley of the Red Gods but found there was one placed near there last week (which we went and found today). This seemed a good spot for a rest and a cache. We saw some drip disas on the way up here and a four petaled iris - both rare. If you take dogs on this route you need to be able to carry them up the ladders. We only took Tavish the Jack Rascal, left the others at home.
