Die Vierbäumetournee ist die zweite Tour in der 4 B Tournee Serie, die ich vor genau einem Jahr mit der "Vierbänketournee" angefangen habe. Alle 4 B Tourneen sollen ausgesprochene Bewegungs-Touren sein, von "Radler" für Radler, nach den Vorlieben von "Radler": Viel bewegen, die Route selbst planen und finden ("geführte Runde" wird nicht geboten), wenig rechnen, wenig suchen. Wegen der Länge dieser Tournee hat sie vier Sterne für's Gelände. Diesmal gebe ich die Hälfte der Stationen schon vorher bekannt, damit Ihr den Hauptteil Eurer Route am Schreibtisch planen könnt. Eine topographische Karte braucht Ihr aber auch unterwegs, spätestens ab der dritten Station. Ausserdem braucht Ihr einen Spiegel.
Zur Fortbewegung: Ein Fahrrad ist natürlich ideal (Überraschung! 
). Auf einen Zug, ausgehend von den Startkoordinaten, sind es mindestens 26 km, davon fast alles mit fast jedem Fahrrad leicht zu fahren. Etwa 500 m davon sind mühsam zu fahren und etwa 500 m solltet Ihr freiwillig schieben (selbst als Mountainbiker) weil es keinen 2 m breiten Weg gibt und man in dem Gebiet häufig Jäger trifft.
Wenn ich die Tour radlos anginge, dann würde ich mit einem zweiten Parkplatz arbeiten und dann sind es noch mindestens 16 km zu laufen.
Die Stationen:
Ein Schild an der prachtvollen Sequoia bei N 48° 34.421´, E 9° 00.210´ wird Euch die Zahlen d, h und j geben. Sequoia Bäume wurden im Jahre j entdeckt. Sie können bis zu h Meter hoch werden und einen Durchmesser von bis zu d Metern erreichen. q(x) ist die einstellige Quersumme von x (Wikipedia: "Von der einfachen Quersumme wird weiter so lange die Quersumme gebildet, bis nur noch eine einstellige Zahl übrig bleibt").
In einer kleinen Baumhöhle der 24 Buchen bei N 48° 36.018´, E 8° 55.730´ werdet Ihr vier farbige Ziffern finden. Die rote ist [r], die gelbe [g], die blaue [c] und die weisse ist [w].
Damit habt Ihr alles, was Ihr braucht, um die dritte Station zu finden. Die Koordinaten sind:
N48° [q(h)][q(j)].[w][w][q(d)]´, E 8° [r][g].[c][w][w]´
Hier steht ein Nadelbaum und vor diesem Baum steht eine Bank. Unter der Bank findet Ihr ein Schildchen mit der Entfernung und der Richtung zum vierten Baum. Bezwinger der Vierbänketournee kennen das. Das Schild hat Spiegelschrift und normaler Schrift. Allerdings müsstet Ihr ohne Spiegel am Boden liegen und ein halber Schlangenmensch sein.
Um die vierte Station herum ist Radeln nicht legal. Aber der Baum ist das Schieben wert. Leider ist dieser Riese vollständig auseinander gebrochen und liegt nun am Boden. In welche Richtung ist der Hauptstamm gefallen? In dieser Richtung hat der Riese auch noch zwei kleinere Bäume abgebrochen.
Teile die Himmelsrichtungen in 8 Bereiche, also N bis NO, NO bis O, O bis SO, ... oder anders ausgedrückt 0° bis 45°, 45° bis 90°, 90° bis 135°, ... Die Dose liegt von hier aus gesehen grob in die gleiche Richtung, also in dem gleichen der 8 Bereiche wie der Stamm. Wähle dementsprechend die richtige Peilung zum Final aus: 250 m 16°, oder 274 m 73°, oder 276 m 94°, oder 201 m 162°, oder 162 m 211°, oder 219 m 246°, oder 235 m 312°, oder 185 m 346°.

Vierbäumetournee is the second 4 B Tournee in my series that opened with "Vierbänketournee" exactly one year ago. All tours in the 4 B Tournee series are about moving around a lot with a bare minimum of calculating and searching. This tour here is long enough to earn it four stars on terrain rating. Another main objective is to let you have all the fun of route planning instead of presenting you with a "guided tour". To allow you planning the main part of your route in advance, I am disclosing here already half of the stages. In any case pack your topographical map, you will need it from stage 3 on at the latest. You will also need a mirror.
Transportation and estimated effort: A bycicle is perfect of course (what else would you expect from "Radler"? ). If you do this in a single trip, starting from the start coordinates of this listing, you will need to cover a distance of 26 km at least. Only about 500 m are rough riding and another 500 m lack a 2 m wide trail and by law you need to walk your bike there. The rest is easy and can be enjoyed with almost any bike.
If you prefer to do this by foot anyway, you can consider doing two shorter trips starting from two parking spots. The minimum hiking distance for the double parking variant will still be 16 km.
The stages:
A sign at the Sequoia at N 48° 34.421´, E 9° 00.210´ will give you the numbers d, h and j. Sequoia trees have been discovered in the year j. They can grow up to h meters high and can have diameters up to d meters. q(x) reduces x to the sum of its digits repeatedly until the sum is a single digit.
More digits will come from a small cavation in 24 Buchen at N 48° 36.018´, E 8° 55.730´. There you will find four single digits in different colours. The red digit is [r], the yellow is [g], the blue is [c] and the white is [w].
Now you have all that you will need for finding the third stage. The coordinates are:

Here you will meet a conifer and in front of the conifer a bench. At the bottom of the bench you will find a sign with the distance and the bearing to the fourth tree. If you did the Vierbänketournee, this technique will be familiar to you. The sign shows the numbers in mirror writing and in normal writing. However, without a mirror you need to lay down flat and you should be flexible as a snake.
Around the fourth stage bike riding is not allowed and since hunters are frequently in exactly this area it is wise to follow the law. But the tree is really worth walking your bike a while. Another reason to get there is that this tree will help you find the final stage. The giant has broken down completely. Into what direction did the main trunc fall? In that direction you will also see two smaller trees broken by the falling giant.
Divide the compass into eight sections, N to NE, NE to E, E to SE, ... or in degrees into the sections 0° to 45°, 45° to 90°, 90° to 135°, ... The final is located roughly in the same direction as the fallen main trunc, that is in the same section of the 8. Therefore, determining the right section you can chose the correct heading to the final from: 250 m 16°, or 274 m 73°, or 276 m 94°, or 201 m 162°, or 162 m 211°, or 219 m 246°, or 235 m 312°, or 185 m 346°.
