Your looking for a dry sack (the kind used to keep valuables dry when canoeing). Please take note how the sack is folded so you can leave it the way you found it. Pull into the subdivision and park on Arbor or Ironwood. Should be an easy find but there will be some heavy (but easy) bushwaking in the summer. Enjoy
I started this with a variety of maps (road, lake, forest preserve, etc) Feel free to take one but please leave one. Everyone I know has extra maps in their glove box, please drop them here. Old or new doesn’t matter. I used a dry bag for this cache so it is a bit larger than an ammo box. The log book is also over sized so it doesn’t get lost in the maps.
The land where this cache is hidden is owned by DuPage county (not the forest preserve). There used to be homes on this land but the county purchased them and had them torn down after some bad flooding. The area is now on a flood plain. There are still homes on the flood plain because not everyone sold to the county. All of route 53 is in the flood plain.
