At a scenic point of the trail, characterized by large tumbled
rocks, oak and sycamore trees, and running water, there is this big
rusty box, which compared to NightHunter's
BRB (Big Rusty Box), is actually a little rusty box.
You are looking for a magnetic key holder containing a log.
Please bring your own pen or pencil.
You can hike to this location from the trailhead on Honey
Springs Road. However, I walked down from the top. The trail is
accessed via a narrow, 5-mph dirt road called Daley Truck Trail. It
goes south off Lyons Valley Road at N32° 43.379 W116° 48.725. There
is a place to park at N32° 42.732 W116° 48.969 just before you get
to a gate that has a "No Trespassing" sign. The first part of the
trail, which starts at N32° 42.719 W116° 48.968, is used by horses
and is narrow and eroded.
