This is a series featuring 8 pubs. The co-ordinates are for the car park only and not the cache
You will have to work out the co-ordinates from a clue when you reach the pub and also a pub quiz question given at the bottom of this page before you do this cache. There is no need to enter the pub as all clues are outside, so this series is suitable for families with children. You will also find in each cache a number to work out the final cache. Except for the final cache, you can do them in any order.
Wirral has so many lovely pubs from quiet relaxing pubs, child friendly pubs and also pubs with great entertainment. Best of all we have lots of “Real Ale” pubs. This series, we hope will hi-light some of our fantastic pubs. There is a FTF in every cache and a Trophy in the final cache. Please don’t take the trophy unless you have done all the pubs and signed the logbooks.
The Irby Mill was once Lumsdoms Café, a popular rendezvous for Wirral walkers. It is now a cosy pub with an inglenook fireplace and good atmosphere. It has 13 hand pumps with a variety of real ales. The pub host regular beer festivals. We went to a St. Georges day once. There is a small beer garden in the front and also tables scattered around the car park. They do very reasonable meals starting from £2.99, served from 12:00 till 8:00. One of our favourites. Probably a good place for lunch if you’re doing the whole series in a day. It has also won a best pub award.

It is suitable for small children and pushchairs, This location has been slightly changed from the original one. There is no climbing involved so the terrain listing has been changed.
