The Ghost of Cypress Creek Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dan-oh: It's time to put this cache to rest. Hopefuly I've introduced a few people to the fun of tunnel exploring and it's something you do on your own. Between the missing cache and my fear of someone getting injured, I've decided to archive the cache. My thanks to all that visited the cache.

Keep exploring!

Dan-oh

Geocache Description:

Cypress Canyon creek is dead! Its ghost haunts the passage way that the creek has been forced into.

If you look at either a topo map or a Thomas Brothers street map, you'll find Cypress Canyon and its creek. When you drive by, you see nothing. It seems that in order to build a new set of homes, a school and Jack in the Box, they had to kill the creek. The entire length of the creek is piped until it exits at the posted GZ.

The upside to filling a creek is a wonderful subterranean playground. The SD Tunnel Rats explored 2 miles of the tunnels and there more that need visiting. To avoid the ghost's vengeance be aware of the following:

- bring a light and a back-up light
- be prepared to get wet feet
- watch out for slippery surfaces
- DON'T ENTER THE GHOST'S ABODE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER A RAIN STORM
- if you're in doubt, come back another day

Once you hit the posted coordinates, follow the ghostly indicators to the cache. Enjoy your visit but don't stay too long!
