This cache is located in a pretty area just a stones throw from the City of Leicester. Most of the route is footpaths but it can get pretty boggy when it is wet. This cache may very occasionally be inaccessable due to flooding. You don't need to worry about this unless we have had loads of rain or snow!!!
The reason for this cache is not so much leaving Las Vegas as leaving....Leicester!!
It is two and a half years since I moved back to my home town, and again I am on my travels. Tomorrow I move to Stourbridge in the Black Country. Just so long as I don't pick up the accent!!! he he. My girlfriend and I wanted to leave something behind...hence the cache!! although we are moving away from leicester, we will be back most weekends to see family and to check our cache!!!
Even though this cache is placed just outside the city, it is a pretty spot with plenty of wild and not so wild life to keep you company. As we were placing this cache, a horse and his gang were protesting loudly at our presence!! While here fishing this year, we have seen a Kingfisher, Rabbits, Hares, Grass Snakes and all sorts of wild creatures. Although we didn't catch any fish!!!
The cache is placed very close to paths frequented by mugglers, dogglers and fishlers!! However if you are in the right place you should be able to hear them but not see them!!! (Hint hint!!!)
A good place to park is at N52/ 35.185 W001/ 10.265. If anyone is interested in wildlife then in warmer months it is worth while visiting at dusk. To find out why, go to N52/ 35.408 W001/ 10.299. Look down at the water to hopefully see more Bats than you can shake a vampire at!!! lol
