Geocache Description:

The cache is not the usual thing you look for and may be a little hard to find. The terrain is typical of the kettle moraine: hilly and stony. Very little kids may get tired and have to be carried. This is a great winter cache. It’s quieter and easier to find. Good luck in foliage months!

You may park at these state park vehicle fee area coordinates: 42-49.205N, 88-36.186W. It was a 1 mile round trip hike for me but you could make it much longer if you choose.

You may bring your bike(s) but you will need to pay an additional trail fee. There is no trail fee for hiking or skiing - only the vehicle sticker fee.

Since my dog is not allowed on the nice groomed ski trails, I often ski at this location where I can bring him. Snowshoeing here would be fun too.

This is my first hide. Nothing incredibly new or creative here just more kettling and moraining. I tried to be clever on the cache which is a homemade container (use baggies for swag please) but after I made it, I discovered another person had already done it.

Original swag list: Logbook with 2 golf pencils, Whippet Travel Bug, Cute Barrettes, Mood Ring, Stretchy Yoyo, Earwarmer Headband, Agate Ring, Nail Clipper, Sunglasses, Party Gag, Magic Trick and Temporary Tattoos. A couple extra ziplock baggies are in the back.

Let me know how you like it and your photos are always fun to look at. You can view all mine here: (visit link)

The Wisconsin DNR provides a 24/7 recorded line for trail conditions for all this area’s trails; Carlin, McMiller, Muir, Nordic and Scuppernong. When Nordic and Scuppernong are groomed for skiing, there is no hiking and visa versa. Muir is closed for biking when it is muddy but open to hiking all the time. If you are planning on biking or skiing, please call ahead! (262) 594-6202
