Geocache Description:

The GGA January 2006 Meeting will be held on Saturday January 14, 2006 from 2:00 PM til 4:00 PM. We are meeting at 2:00 PM, but we always chat for a while informally before and after the meeting.

The location of the meeting has been finalized. Please come out and join us as we discuss geocaching in Georgia. We will meet briefly and we will have plenty of time for socializing so you can meet fellow cachers. One thing we will cover at this meeting is using a compass with your GPS to help you to find the cache. Sometimes even the electronic compass can be unreliable, so it is good to know how to use a compass with your GPS to help you find a cache. We will also talk about how to shoot bearings if you are having trouble finding a cache. It can help you narrow down the area that the cache is located in.

ADDED! The creators of the new GA Stone Mountain Geocoin have given us a couple of coins to auction off for the benifit of the GGA. During the meeting we will have a live cash auction for the coin. The coin can be seen here.

Please check back for more details.
