Geocache Description:

An Ammo box hidden a little ways above the Flat Rock Trail

My most humble apologies. The Posted WEST coordinate was incorrect. The coordinates have been updated.

This area looked like it needed a cache to draw more traffic to this lesser traveled part of the State Park. When we hid the cache we could hear dogs barking down in the valley, along with the dogs in our boots. The cache is hidden from the prying eyes of muggles, with an easy approach that requires no heroics to negotiate. Watch for the abundant wild life, especially snakes, ticks, and chiggers. A walking stick is recommended for negotiating the terrain, along with twice as much water as you usually carry, particularly in the warmer months since this is a very long walk. If you stick to the trails you will wish you had bushwhacked, and if you bushwhack you will wish you had stuck to the trails.

To be on the safe side, take a compass, a map (www.briartech.com) , spare batteries and a flashlight in case you get caught out after dark.

The difficulty rating is based primarily on the potential impact of heavy tree cover on GPS reception and accuracy.
