Geocache Description:

Medium size plastic container in a burnt out log.

Wellington Discovery Forest is a place for students and teachers to explore and learn about Western Australia's remarkable jarrah forest, its ecosystem, values and management. It is located close to Bunbury in the Ferguson Valley, near the historic Wellington Mill townsite.

School programs have been developed for students from Early Childhood to Late Adolescence. They are particularly applicable for Learning Areas of Society & Environment and Science, and address the core values of Social and Civic Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility.

Although the place exists primary for students and teachers the walk trails are also for members of the public to enjoy the forest as well. Information packs are available from the CALM website.

The cache is located a short distance from the end of the carpark. Please park in the carpark and not on the gravel road. The cache location is not visible from the carpark but may be visible from one of the walk trails further up the hillside.
