Am nördlichen Stadtrand von Kelmis (La Calamine) verläuft die
alte Eisenbahnlinie Aachen-Montzen. Der kleine Ortsteil Buschhausen
hatte hier einen Bahnhof. Diese Stelle war ebenso ein
Kreuzungspunkt von zwei Bahnlinien und einer Straße, was eine
besondere Bauform des Bahnhofs erforderte. Die Strecke nach
Aachen-Preuswald ist inzwischen abgebaut und die verbleibende
Strecke nach Aachen-West wird nur noch für Güterverkehr
benutzt.
Der Bahnhof ist heute nicht mehr
in Benutzung. Aber die besondere Bauform des sogenannten
Turmbahnhofs mit zwei übereinanderliegenden Bahnstrecken sowie als
Brücke ist eine Besichtigung und einen Cache wert. Auf das Gelände
kommt man über eine Treppe bei N50° 43.526 E006° 00.155,
oder bei N50 43.526 E6 00.123 die Rampe hoch und durch den
Bahnhof. Die untere interessantere Trasse des Bahnhofs kann frei
von Bahnverkehr besichtigt werden. Hier liegen auch keine Gleise
mehr.
Achtung! Da über eine Treppe
oder die Böschung aber auch die befahrenen Trasse erreicht werden
kann, achtet bitte auf eure begleitenden Kinder und
Tiere!

At the northern outskirts of the
town of Kelmis (La Calamine) the old railway line Aachen Montzen
runs. The little quarter Buschhausen had a station here. This place
was likewise a crossover of two lines and a road, which required a
special design of the station. The line to Aachen-Preuswald is
diminished and the remaining line to Aachen-West is used for cargo
traffic only.
Today the station is no more in use.
But the special design of the so-called Turmbahnhof with two
overlying railroad lines as well as a bridge is worth a visit and a
cache. Access to the area is at N50° 43.526 E006° 00.155 via
the stairs, or at N50 43.526 E6 00.123 via the ramp and
through the station. The lower part of the station is most
interesting and it is completely without train traffic. The tracks
are already removed.
Pay attention! The upper track
is in use and reachable if you climb up the slope or use the stairs
that lead up to it. So please pay attention to your accompanying
children and animals!

Dans le nord de la ville Kelmis
(La Calamine) passe la vieille ligne ferroviaire Aachen-Lontzen. La
petite localité Buschhausen avait une gare ici. Au meme endroit il
y a un croisement des voies et une route au-dessous et ca exigeait
une construction extraordinaire pour une gare. La voie en direction
Aachen-Preuswald etait déjà abandonnée et la voie en direction
Aachen-West a seulement des transports des marchandises.
Aussi la gare etait déjà abandonnée.
Mais la construction extraordinaire avec deux voies au-dessus et
au-dessous et un pont vaut une visite et une cache aussi. Entré à
la gare est à N50° 43.526 E006° 00.155 via une escalier ou à
N50 43.526 E6 00.123 par la rampe et par la gare. La voie en
bas est la plus intéressante et on y a rien de trafic ferroviaire.
On a déjà supprimés les rails.
Faites attention! On peut
accéder à la voie au-dessus par une escalier ou par escalader à la
rampe. Cette voie est en usage. Surveillez vos enfants et vos
animaux!
