Geocache Description:

Welcome to the HWY 402 Series of geocaches - it is a series of 7 caches along highway 402. It could well be subtitled "So near yet so far" since all caches are LESS than a mile or so (1.5 - 2 Km) from HWY 402 but none are accessable directly from the highway.

This is the third cache in a series of seven.

The Terrain rating of this cache could easily increase dramatically depending on the weather. 4WD can help but boots and sweat can be a much more reliable solution, you decide.
Read the signs and believe them!

Please show the area the respect it deserves. It is out of the way but not forgotten.

The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This is a good distinction to put on this type of cache and should be used when ever these types of caches are placed. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours. If there are no posted hours dawn to dusk would only be allowed to hunt the cache.

The cache container is a 800ml Lock&Lock so only small items will fit.

When placed the cache contained:

  • FTF Certificate
  • Tim Hortons gift cerificate for the FTF
  • Plush Bear
  • Geocaching.com compass keychain
  • carabinger
  • lock
  • lighted jetfighter keychain
  • Camera - Please use the camera to take a photo of yourself and leave in the cache for the next person. Send us an email if you use the last picture so we can replace it.
