Geocache Description:

The Whatcom Spirit Quest is a series of geocaches that will take you to small rural cemeteries of historic interest throughout Whatcom County.
Lakeside Cemetery

In Lakeside Cemetery's long history, it has also been referred to as Clearbrook Cemetery, Pangborn Lake Cemetery and Van Buren Cemetery. Set in the midst of the rich farmlands surrounding Lynden, a one and one-half acre plot was originally donated in June 1899 by Henry C. Ehlers to the trustees of the Lakeside Cemetery Association of Clearbrook, WA. This area had been a portion of his large orchard. A number of burials on family farms and at least five from the Perry Cemetery were reinterred here. An additional acre was purchased and added in 1921.

The cache container is a small plastic "lock & lock" container. Please park with care, be respectful, and cache in, trash out.
