Geocache Description:

Cache is located just off the major wash/streambed in the area. Will not be hard to find once you get to the area. You can actually park within 50 feet of the cache if you have a four wheel drive vehicle. Located off the s-22.

This cache was placed following the below adventure that toby t. and I had finding the Moonscape cache (just up the same major wash from here). Here's the story: Oh man, this one was stressful! I need to get another vehicle if I'm going to continue to go off-road on these narrow trails--my big Dodge got scratched all to hell!

Entered the area off the s-22 and drove in a little way until arriving at a motocross looking area. Continued on around it and chose one of 5 paths--clearly a bad choice! Took forever to get out to the cache as I was dodging all the bushes and avoiding what I could. After a long while, we noticed a huge wash/river bed running right up to the cache site. In order to get down to it, we had to do some whoopdy do's and my front end bottomed out on one of them. Got out to look at it but everything seemed fine (remember that part).

Continued on to the cache with the wide wash ending a few hundred feet from the hide.

Upon arriving back at the truck, we noticed that I was missing my front license plate--bracket and all. Drove back down the wash and got out where we had crossed at the whoopdy do's and walked out and retrieved the bracket and plate. Amazingly, I was able to reattach it the next day--nothing broken! Well, we continued up that wash and had a stress free return trip (including hiding this cache) until we got back to an open area with a big metal monstrosity full of trash. Again, we took a bad turn and reached a dead end about 50 yards from the s-22 blocked by some huge tractor tires! Had to turn around again and return to the trash site to find an easier way out.

This trip did motivate us to hide our own cache in the area to have others to come out this way.

The difference with this cache is however that we have given hints on how to best approach the cache! Good luck and go ahead and get Moonscape while you're in the area:-].

Looking for rubbermaid sports bottle. Orginal contents were: log, pen, Eat More Fish tb, caribiner, FSU keychain, globe marble, listerine pockets, lift-off face wash, 1 AA battery, Happy Holiday bracelet, Bobafett Lego, and a 10 sided die.

Have fun and beware of flash floods!
