Geocache Description:

The Alabama geocaching community has fallen a little bit behind in recognizing our geocachers who have reached milestones in their find category. On April 8th, we will formally recognize the following milestone achievements:

Keymaker 3K - will attend

Last Chance 2K - will attend

vesole 1K - will attend

CacheBurns 1K - will attend

MoonSilver 1K - will attend

TOIDS R US 1K - will attend

joefrog 1K - will attend

Bubba Cache 1K - cannot attend

BlueLew and CookieToo! 1K - will attend

Continuing a tradition begun in February 2005, those on this list who would be willing and able to attend will be recognized with their gold ammo box. If you are on this list, please post your intentions so that we can plan accordingly.

Gold ammo boxes and logs will be set up for the attending honorees, so bring a gift, trade item, or travel bug for each; then sign the log and log the box as a find. For those recipients that can't make the meeting, their gold ammo box will be not be at this event, but will be done at a later time.

So come out and join us for the fun! Geocaching will occur before and after the event. Geocaching related discussion and fellowship will occur throughout the day. There might even be a couple of door prizes; you must be present to win.

This event will be held at the picnic pavilion at the Madison County Nature Trail in Huntsville from 10am until 12noon. Butch Chaffin, the park manager, asked that we respect the park by staying on trails and limiting any bushwhacking. Mr. Chaffin is aware of the existing geocaches in the park. The posted coordinates are for the pavilion, parking coordinates are listed as an alternate waypoint. Please, check back here occasionally as I will make updates to the event page as necessary.
