This a traditional cache located in an area that was originally known as Nodaway City, in 1851 the name was changed to Boston. In 1857 a group of men bought the adjoining acreage & once again renamed the town. Some of the locals still refer to the area as Old Boston & New Boston. It is said that one time this town was larger than the neighboring city to the south, St. Joseph. The cache is located in what was once called Caples Cemetery, named for the city founders William & Charles Caples. The Caples cemetery was established in 1856.
