Along the Martin Luther King Shoreline. I want to show everyone this amazing tree!
She had passed by many times before. Once, as her eyes left the still water, they rested on an interesting tree. As she approached, her eyes widened, and a smile grew. She had never seen such a tree!!
She later learned from an EBRPD ranger that the tree was a species Melaleuca, native to Australia.
"I HAVE to share this tree with has many people as I can!" She dragged her family members and friends to the spot so that they could share in the experience. She brought a sample of the bark and leaves (with the Ranger's permission) to her work, to show her co-workers and ask them if they knew anything about the species. But something was missing....
"I know! I'll place a cache there, and Many, Many people will come, and they will be inspired to hike more trails, look more closely at Nature's Beauty, and sign a log to commemerate their visit!"
And so she placed a Cache. Not too big (5"x7"x2"), not too small, and placed interesting items to entertain and delight future visitors (Log book, pen, FTF token, 3 signature tokens, carabiner, beaded bracelet, wire earrings, Sharing the Promise bracelet, 3 mini markers, Sonobe cube.)
As she posted her cache, she wondered, "Who will visit? Will they enjoy the cache? And will they appreciate the Apeeling Tree?" She so hoped that the visitors would take a few moments to study the tree and be captured by its beauty.
So, who will visit???
