Geocache Description:


Många strider har ägt rum kring Jutebergets fornborg.
I januari 1568 stod ett slag mellan svenskar och en dansk styrka. Nordiska sjuårskriget pågick och Erik XIV var svensk regent. Slaget resulterade i ett svidande nederlag för de svenska styrkorna.
Juteberget har troligen fått sitt namn efter stridigheterna med danskarna (jutar = danskar).
Det finns rester efter murar på några ställen på berget.

Many fights have been fought around the Juteberget hill-fort.
In January of 1568 a battle was fought between Swedish and Danish troops. The Nordic 7-year war was ongoing and Erik XIV was the Swedish king. The battle was a great victory for the Danish troops.
There are still remains left of several stone walls on the mountain.
