If you travel by this spot you cannot help but notice Gumby on the side of the road in his surfing convertible. Constructed some years ago by one of the local artists, Gumby is actually a sahuaro that resembles his namesake a great deal. Our house in Puertecitos is only about six miles further south and every time we drive by we say to each other "When are we going to put a cache here?" Well while we were down over the weekend we finally did do it. The cache is on hillside across the road so as to not be accidentally discovered by those that stop for a Kodak moment. The cache is an decon container with the usual cache treasures, please make sure the lid is closed.
