On occasion, it's been known to be a bit cool in winter here in New
England, and since Palmer has picked up quite a few caches since we
started geocaching (there are now some 28 caches within a 15 minute
drive of the meet location), it's time you all come visit!
Come out to the area, grab all the caches you can, and then stop
by to get warmed up after the winter cache run! We'll supply the
hot chocolate and marshmallows, you supply the friends, fun and
conversation. Feel free to bring along a snack to share.
The meet will take place at the Palmer Library's Community Room
from 3pm - 5pm Saturday afternoon.
Afterwards, join us for the short walk or drive down the road to
have dinner at the Steaming
Tender Restaurant, the new restaurant located in the old Palmer
Train Depot, and ground zero for the
Ghost of the Hampden Rail Cache, and a pit stop on the way to
to the
MCTC - Elbow Tract cache.
A Travel Bug swap table will be ready for visitors, and we'll
have a prize for the group with the most caches found on Saturday
as well.
Come visit the Town of 7 Railroads, and look for this place:
If you have young kids, come early, and enjoy the great children's
room at the library. If you're a rail fan, there is an entire room
devoted to the rail history of the area!
Hope to see you all there!
