To be held in Nevada Division of State Parks at the Cathedral Gorge State Park campground.
Sign in and get a nametag when you arrive. There will be a drawing on Saturday for cache prizes. Camping will be $14.00 per vehicle per night. We will camp in the regular campground and in the group area. Wherever there is a spot open first come first served. To be held Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun on June 1, 2, 3, and 4th. Send mail to imapackrat via this page through geocaching.com to let us know how many in your party to expect. This is going to be coordinated with the Rangers at this park. Sites have a table, grill, and shade ramada. Water and flush restroom with showers are available. There is a dump station available. With its dramatically eroded cliffs and spires, Cathedral Gorge is excellent for camping, picnicking and exploring. it's a favorite of photographers. The park is located two miles northwest of Panaca. Signs will direct you on Hiway 93 to the turnoff which leads you to the visitor information center open daily. Eagle view trail is a 1/2 mile hike, Nature trail is 1/2 mile, and there is a 4 mile trail from the campground which leads to a 1 mile trail to the top overlooking the canyon. Plan to bring a dish for a Saturday evening potluck get together around 6pm. There will be travel bugs to trade. We have caches hidden in the area accessible by all. The drawing on Saturday will include ???? Poker run Sat. 12 to 4 pm. We shall be doing some dutch oven cooking on Sat. Plan to be there.
