Geocache Description:

An ocean-themed cache at a not-very ocean site. It's a short hike, but a steep one!

At 618 feet, this cache isn't very near the ocean. But somehow all this ocean-themed stuff got packed inside! Following the theme is not required, but appriciated. Be a sport, it's fun!

I used to play on these hillsides all the time as a kid, and now that I'm grown, I still play here, hiding treasures. The hike should be fairly short, you just go right up the hill until you can't go no more - hopefully that will get you to the top! The view is very nice - can't see the ocean but on most days, the river is visable in the distance. Listen for the frogs down in the seasonal creek.

I should probably give a bit of driving direction hintage, since people seem to be having a bit of trouble. You're going to want to approach this from the end of Merritt Drive, sometimes called Blue Lake Circle. From Pine Hollow Road, take Redlands Road up to Merritt. The GPS should help you navigate these streets.

In the winter, the hills are muddy. In the summer, they may still be muddy. In all seasons, there may be ticks, and there may be snakes, so watch out! There are many ground squirrels here to keep you company, though.
