Geocache Description:

This is a 3 part multi-cache. (1) A historical marker, N 36 03.612, W 87 57.5572. THESE ARE THE CORRECT COORDINATES (IGNORE THE COORDINATES LISTED FOR THE CACHE - SEE MAINTENANCE LOG. (2) 35mm film canisters & (3) an ammo can. There is some hiking and fairly steep hills. Walking distance is approximately a half-mile and should take about 30 minutes to an hour to complete the cache.

NONE of the cache containers are ON or TOUCHING any historical objects. Please do not disturb any historical objects e.g the rifle pits, redoubts or RR pillars. The park is day use only. The gate will be locked at dusk. THE CORRECT COORDINATES FOR THE FIRST LEG ARE N 36 03.612, W 87 57.557 (the historical marker) which will provide you with the clues for the additional legs of the cache. There are 2 dates on the marker you need to find.
-The first is on the back of the sign & is the year that Nathan Bedford Forrest destroyed the supply Depot: 1ABC
-The second is on the front of the sign and is the year that TVA purchased the land & old Johnsonville ceased to exist: 194D. You will need to substitute the numbers that occur at A,B,C or D with the corresponding letter in the coordinates of the next leg of the cache.
2. The second leg of the cache is at 36° 03.DBA North, 87° 57.9BB West. Look on the back of the geocaching disclaimer at the second leg for the coordinates to the third leg and final leg.
The best place to park is the lot across from the playground by the port-a-potties. There's a trail to follow to the top of the hill and turn right at the top of the hill and continue to follow the trail to the 2nd leg of the cache. Follow the trail back towards the parking lot to find the final leg of the cache.
