A micro-cache near a bridge crossing on the Coyote Creek Trail
I came biking down the Coyote Creek Trail today armed with an assortment of pre-made caches, looking for places to put them. I saw that there was no cache at the Coyote Creek bridge. This is the second steel box-framed enclosed bridge on the trail. (See "Coyote Crossing.") There must be an unwritten axiom of geocaching that a steel bridge requires a magnetic micro-cache. I was about to put one on it, when I thought, "Does the world really need another magnetic bridge micro?" I decided to break with tradition and put a totally different type of cache on the approach to the bridge. This is also a micro, but of a very different type. It is only about a yard from the trail, but it might be easier to reach if you go off-trail just a little and approach it from a different angle. Take care in retrieving and opening the cache. It's delicate.
This is a sign-only cache. Bring your own pen.
8/10/08 Since the original is somewhat delicate and has a tendency to wander, I placed a backup cache a foot or so away from the original. It's much tougher and hopefully less mobile. You can log either or both.
1/16/11 This cache has been replaced with a larger and more durable container, attached so it won't get lost.
