One of the most unique and attractive Summer Gardens to visit in Northumberland, with a woodland walk and remarkably pretty restored station buidling, The Garden Station is a place to enjoy beauty and tranquility.

The Garden Station is a unique place which combines the history of railways past with the pleasures of gardens present. For such a small and humble country railway station (1867), the building is a particularly pretty one, with a style and atmosphere which seems to be all of its own. Single story, wooden, green painted, it still has many of its original features intact.

The Woodland Walk is planted with species of plants of many varieties which thrive in woodland conditions. Punctuated with garden sculptures, the woodland walk leads out of the garden, away under two Victorian arched railway bridges into the wild woodland beyond.
