On top of hill 398m asl overlooking Montagu, a steep climb gets you there in 1/2 hour.
Gallows in Montagu?! Well, yes if you were an animal and on the menu of "human" beings. The location of this cache is near a trig beacon with the name of "Slagpale" which is Afrikaans for Abattoir. Today there is no killing to be seen no more, but rather beautiful views of the whole of Montagu. On weekends you might encounter mugglers in this area, hence beware.
PS: Ever wondered what you'll find at the bottom of a trig beacons back pole? Don't! They are well oiled to keep em from rusting. Hence if you pull em out you'll be spattered with old back oil. So don't search there, but stick to the waypoint :-)
On the way back to your car -depending where you parked- you might start on the "The Forgotten Forts" cache: GCT52K which I stubbled upon on my descent.
