Geocache Description:

Thats right, there is a FREE ferry ride involved in this cache.

This cache is meant to be part of a fun day out for families. That being the case it is not a long or hard cache, and the cache container has a few goodies in it ready for swapping. The cache is located in a park with many facilities. Why not make a day out of it and have a BBQ or picnic with the kids? This cache is designed to get you onto and using the Moggill Ferry as a pedestrian as pedestrian travel is FREE on this ferry. As the ferry operates between 6a and 6p each day, you will need to limit your adventures to within those times. You should also listen to your traffic radio in the morning before heading out, just to make sure that bad weather or breakdown has not stopped the ferry from operating that day. You should proceed to the above stated coordinates which are on the Brisbane side of the river and then continue on a short way to the parking areas near the ferry. (One of Brummy’s Berocca Series caches is really really close at this location, but you will need to do the rest of the series in the same day to be eligible to log it!) You should then catch the ferry across to the Ipswich side of the river. While on the ferry answer the following two questions. Q1. How many funnel vents are on the ferry? A1. =__ Q2. The ferry does not have a name plaque. Instead it has a ______ welded to it. A2 Horse Shoe = 4 Dog Collar = 5 Twenty Cent Piece = 20 When you are on the Ipswich side of the river, proceed quickly to South 27 35.672 East 152 51.311. There you will locate a sign erected about the Main Roads Act 1920 TO 19XX. Find XX. Head straight back to the ferry to go back to the Brisbane side. Calculate the final cache coordinates. QQQ = (A1+A2)*45.5 UUU = (XX+511) Checksum QQQ+UUU = 1409 Proceed to South 27 35.QQQ East 152 51.UUU to locate the cache which is a standard ammo box in the usual tree stump. Have fun!
