Geocache Description:

Dear Geocachers,

Hello. My name is von Sweinigus. I love to go geocaching with my daddy "Barnacle Bear". You may already know him, he is very famous around here. Some people say his middle name is "Dr. DNF" because he holds the record for Did Not Find. I don't understand why they call him that because every time he takes me with him we are successful. Often I find the cache first and have to point him in the right direction. You would think he would make the connection that I'm essential to the team and should accompany him more often. I have so much fun finding geocaches.

A while ago I placed a cache with help from my friend cheech gang. It was in my favorite park, where Daddy often takes me for a walk. I was so sad when Daddy told me it had been "muggled". If I ever find this "muggle" I'll try to nip him on his ankles. (I wish I could reach higher.)

I decided to place another cache, but this time it will be where I can keep a good eye on it and guard it constantly! I put it in my yard. It is very near the hole under the fence that I use as an escape to visit my friends in the neighborhood, Barney, Bosco and Willy. Daddy still doesn't know anything about my secret escape hatch, please don't tell him.

It is only about 180 paces from my house. Don't forget that my paces are about 5 inches long. Also I have four legs so I'm not sure if you have to double that number or cut it in half. And I never could figure out on which paw a pace starts and ends, this is all so complicated. And don't forget, you've never seen a dog walk in a straight line so you must take that into account. Anyway, I don't think you will need that information to find this cache. If you see me in the yard be sure to come over to the fence to talk, I'll be glad to give you a hint. I don't bite geocachers!

It only took a little sniffing to find a good spot. It is fairly low to the ground because I can't reach very high. It isn't very big because I had to carry it in my mouth. Some humans would call this a lame micro, but I think this is a pretty cool accomplishment for a dog. I don't know how to work a GPS (neither does Barnacle Bear), so I asked cheech gang to figure out the coordinates for me. If there is any problem you can blame him.

Thanks,
von Sweinigus

I'm the handsome one with the blond hair on the left.
I couldn't figure out how to crop cheech gang out of the photo.
