Geocache Description:

This cache was actually placed in it's present location many months ago... probably sometime back in the Fall of 2005. We kept telling ourselves that we'd soon activate it, but all sorts of things seemed to get in the way & we never got around to it. Luckily, we never deleted the co-ordinates from our GPS receiver.

We were both off work this weekend & decided to spend much of our free time doing a lot of hiking. One of our journeys was to determine whether this cache still exists. Happily… we discovered that it does.

On Christmas Day, 2005, we took a holiday-hike up to the summit of Box Springs Mountain. While not specifically intended to be a caching expedition, we (none the less) made time for one find while up there & picked up Ms. Potato Head travel bug in the process.

We've felt a bit negligent over the fact that Ms.Potato Head has been sitting at our house for the last four weeks without having been released into another cache. To correct this, we are hoping that the creation of this new cache will inspire local cachers to pop by and help Ms. Potato Head on it’s way.

The container is a plastic jar, measuring about 7 inches long by about 5 inches in diameter. It’s painted to allow it to somewhat blend in with it’s surroundings. A short hike over reasonably level terrain is involved & the container is easily accessible from a well-kempt trail.
