Geocache Description:

The cache is a few feet off the road (20-30). It will take a moderate but short climb to get to the cache.

This spot just calls for a cache and my old Honker friends two-bison, nitroguy and papagreg agreed with me and helped me pick just the right spot to hide it. The container is a green round match box, log only. The Biology teacher in me must point out the cool ferns that grow here in the winter and spring. The larger bright green one is Polypody (Polypodium) and the smaller dark one is Goldback Fern (Triangularis). Also lots of "Club Moss" (Selaginella)is mixed in with the smaller regular moss. The cache is named for the California Buckeye tree that dominates this little cove. The cool large brown seeds are not good to eat!
