Geocache Description:

Keills Chapel lies at the end of the Tayvallich Peninsula. A single track road runs down this spit of land, south of Tayvallich and leads you through a splendidly isolated country to your goal. The Chapel is the jewel at the end of the road, but also, there is the sense of being at one with the old gods of this Ancient Kingdom

Drive through the gate at the end of the road (don't forget to shut it afterwards) and park in the parking spaces just before the second gate. You will see the chapel ahead of you. We saw a sea eagle swooping over the chapel roof today. Last time I came here, an otter lounged in the middle of the road, without a care in the world.
The building has been restored and houses a fascinating collection of Celtic carved stones. Of particular interest is the Keills Cross further up the hill. Entrance is free and the door is nearly always open.
The cache itself is at the top of the hill some way up from the chapel. From here, you will see a wonderful panorama of Jura and the Knapdale hills. Although the electricity line is somewhat obtrusive, you cannot but marvel at the benevolence of Scottish Leccy in bringing all the benefits of modern living to this isolated community.
Pray that the weather is good and sit down and charge up your spiritual batteries.
