Where Coyotes Howl Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

John & Jeannie: Well, it was fun while it lasted.

A friend, who takes walks in the area, found the container and the contents scattered. He knew I had hidden it so he called and gave me the report. To bad the muggle youth won't respect other's property.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the 32,000 acre Black Kettle Grassland. No, you don’t have to cover the whole thing. It is located about a half mile from the nearest parking (35 36.414N 99 40.141W) along a walking path. The path starts out as asphalt, turns into concrete and the last 3/4 is a mowed dirt path. You will have to go through 2 gates in the fences. This is public land and you are encouraged to hike the grassland. The last part is in rough terrain with a wet weather creek that must be crossed.

Due to muggles the cache has had to be moved from the original location. Most of the "good" trading stuff has been taken by muggles. The cache is a half gallon plastic container that has been camo’ed. Original contents in the cache is a pair of camo gloves, stuffed penguin, assorted fishing lures, a packet of flower seeds and assorted trinkets. Please re-hide the cache in the same manner.

Coyote, deer, quail, turkey and dove abound in the area. Be aware that in the warmer months, snakes might be moving about. During hunting season you should wear some hunter orange.

The Cheyenne City Park has picnic tables and public rest rooms. There are 3 museums and restored one-room school house and a restored church. Bring a lunch and stay awhile.
