Geocache Description:

Come join the fun on Saturday, February 25th at 8pm at the Wild Cards Sports Grill and Bar as the NWPA Geocachers host the NYGO Geocachers for the first ever combined Pub Crawl Event!

During a NYGO event in North Tonawanda last month, I accepted temporary ownership of the NYGO Pub Bug...a glorious honor not bestowed upon just "any" geocacher, but one who is willing to host the next event!

The "Rules of the Bug" state that the bug has to stay within 25 miles of New York's border, making Erie an eligible spot! I did try to find something a little closer to New York, but just couldn't find anything that I liked that would hold the potential crowd!

We will be meeting at Wild Cards Sports Grill and Bar at 1960 Rotunda Drive in Erie at 8pm. Rotunda Drive is a short little street right off of Peach; near the Erie Sports Store and Tinseltown Movie Theater. You may arrive earlier than 8 if you like; but the room reserved for the occasion won't be available until 8.

Bring the kids and make a weekend out of it! Splash Lagoon and LaserTag, not to mention Family First Sports Park are close by! There are literally hundreds of caches in Erie, so you'll have plenty to do while visiting our fair city!

***EVENT UPDATE***

Make sure to email me the names (preferably geocaching names) of everyone in your family that will be attending the event, as I plan to make up some keepsake nametags for everyone that attends. I will need this info by Friday! Anyone not providing me with their names (that I don't already know) will get a "generic" keepsake. Also, be sure to arrive on time to take part in the poker run! I am working on a few new permanent caches to be hidden for the occasion plus some fun ways to log the event more than once. Can't wait to see everyone!

***Another Event Update***

A collection will be taken at the event to befefit NYGO Geocachers Dora the Explorer and Waynescout, parents of Fancywings and friends of SkeeterBait2 and StrikeForce1 (plus many others) who were seriously injured in a car accident last week WHILE GEOCACHING. Please plan to give generously. I am told that the donations will go directly to the family as they will both be unable to work for awhile. Our thoughts and hopes go out to them and their family.***
