Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Cache is located in the Chapman Valley along Humber Creek between
Scarlett Rd. and Royal York Rd. Sections of the trail are hazardous
in wet weather, and winter may make some areas inaccessible,
depending on where and how you approach the area. GPS readings are
a little tough in there, so I used the AVG function on my Etrex
Vista C, and posted co-ordinates that are +-20 ft. The find should
be easy once in the general area.
Since my son introduced us to geocaching, it's only fair that our
first hide would be largely his. It's a small camougflaged
cylinder. It is off the ground so the hide itself is
winter-friendly. There are a couple of different ways to access the
cache, and most require crossing the creek once or twice. Access to
the cache and its difficulty may vary with the season and weather,
as some parts of the trail are on a steep incline and slippery.
Please replace cache exactly as hidden, and make sure that it is
out of sight... Also make sure to tighten the container well...
Thanks.
