#6 in the
Return To Tradition series, The Cache at Palmer
Wildlife Management Area is located within the 1,017 acres
of The Palmer Wildlife Management Area, managed by the Mass
Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. There is room for several
cars at the trailhead located at: N 42° 11.481 W 072° 17.054 just
off Old Warren Road, in Palmer.
The cache was originally released to coincide with the Western
Mass Winter Warmup Event Cache.
That location, while suitable when originally placed in February
2006, really did not cut it when spring and summer came. It was
moved to its present location 09/09/06, which we hope will be a
more enjoyable experience. Refinds are allowed, just note as such
in your log.
It is a kid tested ( Dignity ) , mother approved ( Dignity’s Mom )
cache, with 2 precautions:
1) Wear orange if you intend to explore
the area further, since hunting is allowed in the area.
2) Beware as there is a few spots of poison ivy
on trail. (hence 1.5 for terrain)

Cache is a restocked ammo can, classically hidden.
We know there will be GPSr bounce/drop ( reason for difficulty: 2)
so the hint has been updated, and should lead you to the cache, in
that event.
