This area caught our attention several years ago, so we stopped to visit the Golden Memorial memories placed here. Today we stopped to find a tree has toppled but the memorial is still accessible.
There just happened to be a good location for a cache close by. The cache is in a mayo jar with trade items, and logsheet. BYOP
Be sure to visit the memorial about 50 ft. or so from the cache. It is accessed from parking area. The area is getting overgrown but you can still see the tall cross.
