Geocache Description:

Decon container hidden off of the West side of the South Plateau Loop Trail, Monte Sano State Park.

WARNING: There is a steep cliff to the West of the cache site. Keep smaller children under control at all times when hunting this cache.

Near the cache is a shallow "cave" with some spectacular paintings. From the cache, walk Southeast about 40 feet (facing the valley, search to the left) to find it.

You might think these paintings were the work of indian tribes years ago, but the person who showed me the area said he was quite sure the artwork was done by a Huntsville High student back in the 1960's. Either way the paintings are an interesting feature that you wouldn't expect to find here.

Have fun hunting, and be careful of the nearby cliff!
