Geocache Description:

Original site of the Waco/Huaco Indians

Our city was named for this tribe of Indians - some say they were named Waco, others say Huaco. This old school, now a seldom open history museum, occupies the site of this historic village.

The only remnants are these huge oak trees. Take a minute to enjoy the area, and imagine all the history these trees must have seen.

*** As with most urban caches in old downtown area, be aware of your surroundings and DO NOT attempt this cache alone, or after dark. ***
