Wilder Ranch
offers so many great trails for hiking and bicycling that I'd
thought I'd give cachers an excuse to visit the main
trailhead.
The Wilder Ranch park has 4,505 acres, with 34 miles of hiking,
biking and equestrian rails winding through coastal terraces and
valleys. Several restored buildings once belonging to the Wilder
family are preserved. The park has tours and living history
demonstrations to help visitors explore the history of early
ranchers and farmers along the Central Coast. The site was
originally the main rancho supplying Santa Cruz Mission. It later
became a successful and innovative dairy ranch. Surrounding grounds
include Victorian homes, gardens, and historic adobe.
Check out the posted trails map and let your feet wander along
one of the trails. You might even find some caches in the
countryside!
Terrain rating assumes that you paid to park at the Wilder Ranch
parking lot.
Not a camo cache and not in vegetation.
Congratulations, G A-DayTrippers: First to Find!
Enjoy! And happy caching!
