We will be having the First Monday In Beaumont Event on March 6, 2006 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gander Mountain Lodge in Beaumont, Texas.
We have enjoyed getting to meet the new cachers in the area and sharing our stories with them. The event is very informal so if you have questions or stories to share we can all learn from them. We will be talking about the Texas Challenge 2006 that will be held March 18, 2006 at Inks Lake State Park. There are several from our area planning on attending the Challenge so we are looking forward to it.
The ribbon and bead activity seems to be catching on. The way this works is you get a bead for each cache you find, hide, no finds, and First to Finds since the last event. You are given a ribbon just for attending the event. We have also added a bead if you bring a first time quest.
You can bring your own drinks but NO ALCOHOLIC beverages are allowed. There will be door prizes but like geocaching you never know what you may get.
