Apollo18: As some of you know this cache was muggled by a property owner who's home is near the original location of the cache. I had spoken with him, and though he had threatened to call the police on us for "littering" I decided to go ahead and replace the cache, only I would move it some 400 feet to the south of the original location, putting it in a more exposed area, but one that was far from the fence lines. After placing the cache I returned to my car only to discover I still had the log book and pen with me. I returned to the cache and discovered the guy walking down the path that ran through that area of the park.
When he saw me returning he told me he saw me hide a suspicious package and he was going to retrieve it and call the police because someone was threatening to kidnap his son. It was very surreal. I think the guy was off his meds or something.
I've decided that I'm going to archive this cache and let someone else have a go in that area, though I'd caution you to wait a bit
