Geocache Description:

This area isn’t pretty, interesting or anything special and neither is this cache. But it should be good for stat building. It can get very muggle-filled during the lunch and dinner hours as well as on weekends - please cache stealthily! Also, please do not trample or rummage through the surrounding foliage.

Have you ever had absolutely delicious stir-fry at a Chinese restaurant only to find that when you attempted to replicate the dish at home it was missing something? That special something is Wok Hay. Wok Hay is a Cantonese expression which very roughly translates as “Wok Energy”.

What is Wok Energy? It’s more than just a cooking technique and name of this cache, it’s also the mojo that makes the flavors and textures of the ingredients blend and flow harmoniously so that the dish not only tastes fantastic but it makes you feel good too!

How can you achieve better Wok Hay in your stir-fry?

  1. Use very high quality, fresh ingredients at their peak ripeness.
  2. Get the wok VERY hot – it should be ever-so-slightly smoking.
Chef Ming Tsai says, "If the wok is hot enough, you will have a sizzling sound at all times."
  3. Place oil in the wok only AFTER the wok is thoroughly heated.
  4. Keep the wok as close to your heat source as possible to keep it properly heated.
  5. Make sure all ingredients are completely dry before placing them in the wok.
  6. Don’t pack the wok!!! Leave plenty of room for the ingredients and their delicate flavors to mingle.

About this cache: You can park practically next to it but you'll have to harness your personal Wokking Energy to get out of your car to retrieve it. You're looking for a camo’d 3-inch tubular matchbox containing a log and pen. No room for any swag but a ‘lil something for the FTF is secured next to the cache. PLEASE make sure the container is replaced as found. Oh, and it's all right that the lid is missing - you'll see when you find it.
