Stories of love letters being passed between lovers by means of
hidden caches have been a part of history for centuries. The use of
hollow logs and tree trunks have always been a favorite for this
type of traditional (Pre-Geocaching) caches. This was the
inspiration for this, my first, geocache. In this "Themed Cache"
you'll find love letters, inspirational stories, poetry, themed
hitchikers, rose petals, etc. Please plan ahead when visiting this
cache to be able to leave apropriate items.
Once you do find the cache, look around, you should be able to find
a place to have a seat and enjoy all of the stories before you
leave.
This cache can be a muggle nighmare if you visit at the wrong
time of day/year. There is an elementary school in the area that
creates large amounts of traffic early in the morning and around
3pm during the school year. The cache is located on public
property, but in a neighborhood and the owners of the adjacent home
have given permission for the cache.
The container is a short, fat, cylinder that I painted to blend
in with it's hiding place. It shouldn't bee too hard to find, but
at the same time I hope it's not too easy either.
The FTF will have the privelage to send a pair of hitchikers on
their first journeys. Please visit
The Lover's Heart (Right) and
The Lover's Heart (Left) to learn about these hitchhikers and
their goals.
