A lovely walk of about 2 miles starting just outside Lowsonford and heading towards Henley in Arden on the Mount
Recommended parking is on the verge in Henley Road out of Lowsonford at N52deg 18.200 W001 deg 44.604 which is a short distance from the footpath. Do not park on the grass verge outside the bungalow at the start of the path. You could also park in Beaudesert Lane in Henley in Arden but this would involve a very steep climb up onto the Mount with several ascents and descents which are worth it for the view but quite hard work if muddy. There are a few stiles and it can be muddy in places so not suitable for pushchairs. There are many pubs and tea places in Henley in Arden which is worth a walk round if only to have one of the delicious ice creams for which Henley is famous. There are many buildings of historical interest including some black and white half timbered buildings along the high street such as the 15th century Guild House and a few old coaching inns. The High Street is particularly pretty in the summer with lots of floral displays. The hill behind Henley is known as the Mount and Thurstan de Montford built a fortified Norman castle here in the 11th century although there is nothing left of it now.
Our cache Warren with a View is not far away and can be included with this one in a circular walk by consulting the ordnance survey map.
The cache is a small tupperware-like box filled with the usual bits and pieces.
