This is not a cache and dash.
This cache will give you a great workout and great views as a
reward! Pinnacle Rock has commanding views of the area
and also allows you to see exactly how far you've
hiked!
Trail Head co-ordinates
are N 41°42.443' - W 72°
49.672'
Follow the trail in, past the
"Hike and a View" cache and you'll be rewarded with great rock
cliffs and caves. These rocks are where you'll find the micro
that holds the co-ordinates to the final stage. The micro is
a waterproof match container. Due to the rock walls you may
get a little bounce in the area, to help you find it we built a
small cairn no more than 10 feet from where the micro is
hidden. There is also a picture of the exact area in the
gallery for this cache.
The final stage is located at Pinnacle
Rock. A large rock outcropping with a little rock bench for
contemplation. This cache hide may also be affected by bounce
so we built a second cairn marking the exact location of this
cache. There is also another picture in the gallery that
shows Bailey sitting on the cache location (he's good at
that).
Round trip hike for this cache is about 3.5
to 4 miles. Views are great, your heart gets a work out what
more do you want? :-)
