park at gz s41* 40.048 e146*28.188 which is the start of higgs track access via westrope rd near western creek
the track is well marked with just one hill that goes for 2 klm and gets a little steeper at top before popping out on top. resonable level of fittness and determination required ,can be reached in 2hr
this cache is a tribute to the mountain hut preservation society and the people that got badly hurt in the helicopter crash in the construction stage .lady lake hut was origonally built in 1911 and rebuilt 2002.
the track up hill is in sheltered rain forest but once on top it is a little more exposed and may have some snow in winter
on top it is only 200 m to lady lake hut with superb views of mother cummings peak and a great spot to spend a night
