This was hidden as part of the 2nd annual Island Hide & Go Cache.
Here's a neat location you may not know about! That's because it's not exactly intuitive how to get there...
The top of this hill is almost exclusively populated by Arbutus. In the gulley between this hill & the larger mountain to the northwest you will also see many Alder trees (the preferred host wood for oyster mushrooms).
Use the parking/entry waypoint to avoid trespassing on private property. Some of the possible approaches from this point on may involve "unpleasant" terrain. If it's getting scary you should consider trying another approach. (No need to exceed terrain rating above)
There is good GPS reception on top of the hill and the hide should be fairly obvious.
Positioning averaged to +/-2m with WAAS differential on 36 for all birds sounding.
Cache is a 4.5"x7"x2" Lock&Lock with assorted trade items.
As always, rehide cache completely & natural looking as possible. Happy Caching!
