Thanks DDTs - we hope you have a chance to visit! 5 minutes from Penguin a surprise awaits you in the Dial ranges at Mount Montgomery car and keyring exchange. This cache is guarded by a .......


Easy(ish) 2hr return walk to trig point and historic cairn, a side trip near the start of the Penguin to Cradle Mt. Trail (PCT). NOTE: stick to the right if trail junctions are not marked after the leaving PCT (signed left turn 10m after Myrtle creek ). A map of the Dial walks is available at camping shops and from Penguin visitor info centre $4 I placed this cache on the lowest of the Dial Range peaks at 471m because the forest is different to that on the other Dial caches - in particular at the time of placing the bush tucker 'native cherry' was fruiting.
No need to leave the track! Don't forget the switch and cover well again.
