About a year ago in February of 2005, I was introduced to
geocaching. As I got sucked into this adventure, some of the
first few caches I hit were here in
Northwestway Park. In honor of the cachers that placed
caches in this park, I decided to place another and hopefully
generate more interest in this great park.
Thanks to pikerup for
The Path of Least Resistance, 2jo's waypoint for
Northwestway Park, 2qwerqe for
Bushwacking with the Beave's
Brothers (archived after it was washed away),
and finally Cache Commando for
Lost by 2querqE and found .... (replacement of the washed away
cache after he found it downstream) for placing those fun
caches. Thanks for taking me to a fun park and for the
memories of hitting some of my first few caches.
Northwestway Park not only has soccer fields and a great pool,
but it also has some good running/walking paths, pavilions,
playgrounds, basketball courts, and one of the few Disc Golf
Courses in Indianapolis. Oh, don't forget the baseball fields at
the south entrance off of 59th Street. So, with everything
this park has to offer, take your family, enjoy your time, and make
some memories. Feel free to post pictures of your adventures
in the park!
** Please remember to be stealthy when retrieving
and replacing the cache. Replace the cache exactly as you
found it, so other can enjoy the hunt. Watch for muggles,
they are often not only out and about, but also sitting in cars
enjoying lunch or just taking a break.**
